The 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X SE (Special Edition) is the perfect compromise between the standard GSR (Grand Sport Rally) and performance flagship MR. The Evo X SE package includes the 6-speed Twin Clutch Sportronic Shift Transmission (TC-SST) with all three driving modes: Normal, Sport, and Super Sport to channel the 291-horsepower / 300 lb-ft of torque turbocharged 2.0-liter DOHC MIVEC engine to the Super All-Wheel Control (S-AWC). Its suspension package entails Eibach springs and Bilstein shock absorbers, xenon headlights, and two-piece Brembo front brake rotors. The Evo X SE’s exterior will have the base model GSR’s front cowling, wheels and blacked out side vents plus the MR’s lip rear spoiler. The SE’s $3000 price cut means sacrificing some interior fluff (leather seats, navigation, etc.) but anyone excited about the Evo X SE package doesn’t feel any real loss.
