Setting up a control rig for you PC racing games/simulators has always meant latching the steering wheel to your desk and tucking petals somewhere underneath. The Simraceway SRW-S1 Steering Wheel has a new wheel/petal combination that gives you everything right in your hands.
We’re pumped about the upcoming new movie Faster staring Dwayne Johnson (The Rock), the 1970 Chevelle, and the 1967 Pontiac GTO. The movie releases in theaters this Thanksgiving November 24th. If you have been digging the music in the trailer, the soundtrack featuring artists like The Heavy, Iggy Pop, and Clint Mansell (score) will be available for digital purchase on the 23rd. We’ll update you once the “where” is available. For now, here’s the tracks:
A stint in prison usually has one of two effects on a man – it either breaks him down or makes him stronger. For Driver (Dwayne Johnson), a 10-year sentence proved the latter. His strength was not just fueled by time, but also by a hunger to avenge the murder of his brother during the botched bank robbery that led to his own imprisonment. Untouchable on the ‘inside,’ he made plenty of enemies in prison – men who were counting the days until his release so they could exact their own revenge on the outside. Now, on the day of his release, he is hell-bent on reaping vengeance upon the four men responsible for his brother’s murder. With a list of names and addresses in hand, he sprints out of the prison gates and is immediately on his mission.
No regard for witnesses. No finesse to the acts. One down. Check. Within hours of Driver eliminating the first name on the list, two men are on his trail – Cop (Billy Bob Thornton), a veteran police officer just days from retirement, and Killer (Oliver Jackson-Cohen), a young egocentric hitman with a flair for the art of killing. The hunter is now also the hunted.
Watching the previews for the new Top Gear USA is like watching someone embarras themselves unknowingly. You feel embarrassed for them. I have a feeling Jeremy Clarkson, James May, and Richard Hammond are going to have a field day with this one. Premiering Sunday November 21st, we can all bet we’re going to see three guys trying as hard as humanly possible to be unique self proclaiming gearheadish individuals.

OUR REVIEW
We like Formula 1 2010 because it has a great deal of realistic features we look for in a good driver/racing game (burnouts, realistic crashing, car destruction, bad weather, burnouts, etc.). And, the racing is pretty cool as well. We’re not going to pretend to be an authority on racing video games but, we do know what keeps our attention for more than a few races. We like racing games that enable you to push the car beyond its limits. Formula 1 definitely does exactly that. Unfortunately, it always cost us the race.
When you are racing against the computer, things are pretty much by the book. But, if you decide to test your skills via online multiplayer mode, get ready for some hardcore, not-so-realistic driving. By not-so-realistic we are referring to the general lack of concern for ones F1 race car by most drivers. Turn 1 usually results in everyone heading for the apex at one time thus causing a spectacular crash (see video).
Warning: The following songs tend to promote the condition commonly known as “Leadfoot”. Set your cruise control to the appropriate speed setting, press play and enjoy responsibly.
